I do not think it is that complicated, but few sources provide the information under that veil.

This show needs to be aired again! This is the most comprehensive investigation of the financial meltdown anywhere! Thanks Fox News! The mainstream is looking everywhere except at the root cause, namely bad liberal policies! Trying to make loans available to people who could never pay for them to secure a voting block for themselves & then line their own political coffers! And try to put the blame anywhere else but on themselves! The hypocisy is more than I can stomach! I just hope that the truth will come out! This is a Democratic debacle if ever there was one from start to finish! And, it affects us all! Keep after this story! Thanks.

Fair And Balanced? More like Biased and Weak
I try to listen to both sides and on individual issues. But they did not even attempt to be balanced here. This report was so biased, just look at how one-sided practically every argument is. I applaud any airing of corruption based on conclusive facts, but please leave out loose insinuations.
The way this was presented, it scared the crap out of me about the democrats, the report made them out to be evil. And I see no reason for this, it was just the tone of the report.
The timing is an obvious attempt to sway votes, and repeatedly referred to the presidential candidates.
On the actual substance of the report about the major factors that lead to the economic fall, I think it was lacking. It focused so much on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who were playing with the numbers. So were the businesses that were buying the securities. So were the mortgage brokers and real estate agents who had an interest in higher commissions and over inflating value and selling bigger, not what is in the best interest of the purchaser. And the buyers of the property who could not afford the home on the belief that the price would go up as they had seen it happen for the other home owners up to that time. There was plenty of blame to go all around, something this big has many, many points of failure.
This report was so incomplete, that it did not even go into the role of the Bond Insurers. That was HUGE. Every time they wrapped the mortgage securities, they would be considered less risky due to the guarantee the bond insurer, who did not have the capacity to make good on the guarantee. Then again, when attempting to go into the details of the structure of these securities, they were too "complicated". Come on, I have heard that so many times on television. It may be too complicated for the reporter perhaps, but do the research and present it to the american public. I do not think it is that complicated, but few sources provide the information under that veil. I do like that it this report attempted to explain what happened, and did gather many facts to build a case. Unfortunately, I think that the goal and priority of this report had more of a political agenda, than that of explaining what is happening with the economy. I was mislead by the title, but after viewing this video it is very clear, Saving Our Economy: What'$ Next? hmmm... I guess I am brainwashed into thinking now that John McCain is the one who could save us. Just by looking the other discussion on this video, this appears to be the sole source of information for many of those who watched this, that is scary. Fox should just change it's slogan. Just fess up and I would give you more credit.

Thank you FOX News for your excellent reporting on these critical issues. Thank God we have commonsense reporters who don't get a "thrill up their leg" every time they hear the Messiah speak! Please keep up the good work. We need you!!!

Dear Republicans, Below is an email that I have been sending to my congressman and talk show hosts.
The Economy is what most people are concerned about. McCain can win on the economy by promoting a grass roots effort that will get the country angry at the real culprits. If Republicans send out emails like I did to everyone on my email address list.
This was the message:
-------------------------------------------------------
I apologize for sending this unsolicited email, but I feel every American would like to know who caused our financial collapse which is causing your 401k and your home value to sink in value. We have been betrayed, not by the obvious greed of the banks, but by our congressmen who caused this to happen.
Let’s not put the fox in charge of the hen house. Please view all six sections of the very clearly produced video at the following link.

The site can also be googled by the phrase, telelprompter saving our economy.
------------------------------------------------------
You could also make available down-loadable posters and handouts which volunteers could hand out at supermarkets.
Thanks,
Bob Bryant

The videos are back on YouTube as of 10/9/08 from a different poster.
Every American who has worked hard to build a next egg and enjoy the fruits of their labor must watch this.
You are all being royally screwed by the corrupt politicians and the crooks in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And it is your tax dollars that is being used against you!
Please tell everyone you know to watch this show.
And get mad. GET REAL MAD!!!
